First lesson on July 4th, 1978 (age 15)-first pro gig on Mardi Gras day, 1979 on a stage outside the Spanish Galleon in Fat City.

Paths to Glory or Kill Bill 1& 2 (tie)
5. How many different bands have you played in?
Have played in only a dozen or so bands (with more than one gig played-doesn’t count sitting in with people) in 31 years
6. What is your hobby?
Narcissism
7. At what age do you plan to hang up your instrument (if any) and what is your retirement plan?
I will stop playing my instruments the day my Russian handlers call me with the code phrase that will flip my Manchurian Candidate style psychological trigger that will send me on a 12 state murderous rampage; the upside is, I don’t have to worry about a retirement plan.
8. What are 3 of your favorite albums from childhood? Let’s say the time until you graduated high school.
Sgt Pepper, Ram (Paul McCartney) & Yessongs ( I was a big prog rock guy in high school).
9. How and why did you start playing music?
When I was 15, my older cousin started a band and it inspired his younger brother and me to play. I always loved music ( my parents had over 1000 LP’s of every possible genre).
10. 3 things you love about New Orleans?
1. The way we (New Orleanians) always have an eye to the past while we celebrate the present
2. The cumulative culture (food, music, fine art, etc.) that swaddles us in it’s brilliance.
3. The 280 years my family has been in this city has mainlined its gorgeousness into my blood.
