1. If you were not a musician what would you want to be when you grow up?

An owner of a flower farm which has 2 horses on it to ride. Aaand, a ferry godmother.

2. What is your favorite color?

Forest green and my second favorite is midnight blue.

3. At what age did you become interested in being a musician and what/when was your first professional gig?

The age I first became being a musician was when I was 4.  First professional gig was in Newport, Rhode Island at Kings Park with my brothers in 1965 or ’66.

4. What is your favorite movie of all time… (your all time that is)?

CAMELOT! Because it’s based in Medieval times.  B/c King Arthur was probably my dad in another life.  And b/c I adore Richard Harris and Vanessa Redgrave is a Goddess!

5. How many different bands have you played in?

Too many to count.  But I’ve been a member of 6: The Cowsills, Dwight Twilley Band, Psycho Sisters, Continental Drifters, The Bonoffs, and my band.

6. What is your hobby?

Collecting rocks, pieces of wood, gardening, and staring at the sky.

7. At what age do you plan to hang up your instrument (if any) and what is your retirement plan?

Never. Thinking beautiful thoughts.

8. What are 3 of your favorite albums from childhood? Let’s say the time until you graduated high school.

Okay..umm…

9. How and why did you start playing music?

For the love of Pete.  Family.

10. 3 things you love about New Orleans?

The people, the secret garden syndrome, and because it’s home.

NOW, since Ryan and Brendon were present while Russ quizzed me here, they want to answer them too!

1. If you were not a musician what would you want to be when you grow up?

RYAN: A golfer. A really good golfer.

Brendon: Due to going 2nd in this questionaire, I’m not copping out, but I too would love to be a professional golfer. Otherwise, some kind of scientist.  A paleontologist, or geologist.

2. What is your favorite color?

Ryan: Green

Brendon: Blue

3. At what age did you become interested in being a musician and what/when was your first professional gig?

Ryan:When I was 23.  Outskirts of Austin, TX at my first SXSW.

Brendon: First gig was The Cannery in Las Vegas 2 yrs ago with The Cowsills.  A gradual progression.  I’ve always been interested in music, but I never ever considered being a professional musician until I became one.  I always had so much other stuff going on.

Ryan: Field Of Dreams

Brendon: Shawshank Redemption

5. How many different bands have you played in?

Ryan: Two.

Brendon: One.

6. What is your hobby?

Ryan: Comedy.  It has to be.

Brendon: Golf. Full on.

7. At what age do you plan to hang up your instrument (if any) and what is your retirement plan?

Brendon: Only time will tell.  Stay happy.

Ryan: Sixty-two.  Perfect teleportation.

Ryan:

Brendon:

9. How and why did you start playing music?

Ryan: Got in a car accident.  Broke my shoulder.  The only thing I could do was sit at the piano.  Then I wanted to take lessons.

Brendon: My mother got me a guitar for my birthday.  I think I was 12…something like that.  She showed me the basic finger picking for Blackbird.

10. 3 things you love about New Orleans?

Ryan: Is it in order?
Miranda.
The Culture.
The Saints!

Brendon:
My family.
The food.  I didn’t get to really experience it, but I know I’m going to love it.
Bikeus.  That whole day.
